Overview:

Our client is seeking is seeking a motivated professional to provide essential services to children with disabilities. The central focus of our client is to provide a variety of services in one location to decrease stress on caregivers. Candidates should be licensed in their respective fields and be able to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. This is a highly collaborative environment.

This position allows you to set your own schedule. Individuals qualified for this position should have background and extensive knowledge in their field and preferably 2 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as 1 year of experience overseeing/training staff. Salary is based on experience in respective field. 

This is a unique opportunity for a candidate who is looking to utilize all their experience to develop a full OT program! Opportunity to hire and supervise OTAs.

The ideal candidate is comfortable building a program from the ground up. 

  • Must be credentialed in Colorado
  • Willing to create and lead an excellent program in-line with Clients mission
  • Willing to co-treat with ABA for clients with high magnitude behaviors
  • Willing to use push-in model in center and community
  • Experience/willing to train non-OT staff
  • Willing to work in a variety of locations – home, community, center
  • Seeking to work with a caseload long-term

Responsibilities:

  • Management of the OT program
  • Provide training and support to non-OT professionals
  • Consult with clients/caregivers to learn about their physical condition and symptoms as well as review medical history
  • Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, practice in functional, prevocational, vocational and homemaking skills, activities of daily living, and sensory motor, educational, recreational and social activities
  • Develop an individualized treatment plan
  • Support clients in completing therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
  • Use hands-on therapy to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
  • Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
  • Advise clients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the treatment process
