Director of Operations / Vice President (Adult Residential & Day Program Services)

Location: NE Florida / Jacksonville Area

Overview

A well-established nonprofit organization supporting individuals with autism is seeking a Director of Operations (title flexible to Vice President) to oversee its Florida programs. This role provides leadership for multiple Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) and a Day Program serving adults with autism.

This is a higher-level management position with no billable hour requirements and no direct caseload. The Director of Operations will focus on ensuring the highest quality of services, compliance, and staff development across programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Adult Residential Facilities and Day Program.

• Ensure programs comply with state and organizational regulations.

• Manage budgets, staffing, and administration across multiple sites.

• Assess quality and effectiveness of services provided.

• Support and supervise program managers and leadership staff.

• Partner with executive leadership to align programs with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • Direct experience overseeing a residential or day program for adults with autism.

  • Strong leadership and operations management skills.

  • Knowledge of autism services and best practices.

• Preferred:

  • BCBA certification with demonstrated supervisory/operations experience.

  • Budgeting, compliance, and multi-site program oversight experience.

Schedule

• Full-time, on-site leadership role.

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

• Weekends off.
