Hybrid BCBA – San Fernando Valley

Full time @recruitaba in Healthcare

Job Description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Hybrid Flexibility

San Fernando Valley / Greater Los Angeles Area

What makes this organization different is the reason it was founded.

Before launching the company, the founder spent five years at Anthem Blue Cross investigating unethical ABA providers, poor clinical practices, and fraudulent billing models throughout the industry. That experience ultimately led to the creation of an organization built around a different philosophy — one centered on ethical care, transparency with families, sustainable clinical expectations, and long-term clinician support.

Today, the organization operates with a strong focus on:

  • naturalistic and family-centered ABA
  • meaningful mentorship from experienced clinical leadership
  • flexibility and autonomy for clinicians
  • realistic caseload expectations
  • collaborative, relationship-driven care
  • reducing burnout commonly seen in larger corporate ABA environments

Recruit ABA is partnering confidentially on this search for a BCBA seeking a more flexible and sustainable clinical environment with meaningful hybrid work opportunities, supportive mentorship, and strong work-life balance.

Unlike many larger ABA organizations, this team intentionally supports remote flexibility for supervision, parent training, programming, and administrative responsibilities — helping clinicians reduce burnout while still delivering high-quality care.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Meaningful Hybrid Flexibility

This is a true hybrid-style BCBA role with substantial flexibility built into the schedule.

Clinicians regularly complete:

  • Telehealth parent training
  • Remote supervision
  • Programming and treatment planning from home
  • Administrative work remotely
  • Virtual meetings and collaboration

Additionally, office space is available in the Westlake area for:

  • Telehealth sessions
  • Material prep
  • Quiet workspace
  • Collaboration with leadership and peers

The goal is to create a sustainable schedule that supports both strong clinical outcomes and personal balance.

Supportive & Experienced Clinical Leadership

You’ll work alongside experienced clinical leadership with over 10 years of BCBA experience in a highly collaborative environment.

This role is especially strong for:

  • newer BCBAs seeking mentorship
  • clinicians transitioning from larger corporate ABA companies
  • BCBAs looking for stronger clinical support and autonomy

Sustainable Workload Expectations

This organization prioritizes manageable expectations and long-term retention over burnout-driven productivity models.

Highlights include:

  • Approximately 25 billable hours per week
  • Protected non-billable time
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Administrative support
  • Realistic caseload expectations

Service Model

  • Approximately 80% in-home services
  • Approximately 20% private preschool setting
  • Focus on individualized, family-centered ABA services
  • Collaborative approach with caregivers and interdisciplinary providers

  • Develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide supervision and protocol modification
  • Conduct parent training and caregiver guidance
  • Supervise and mentor RBTs
  • Complete clinical documentation and insurance authorizations
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and providers
  • Support skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals through ethical ABA practices

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable supporting clients throughout portions of the Greater LA area
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Newer BCBAs encouraged to apply
  • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • $up to 105K total comp
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible scheduling
  • 10 days PTO
  • 8 paid holidays
