Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Location: Multiple Maryland Locations
Setting: Center-Based
Salary: $95,000–$105,000
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Annual Performance Bonus: Up to $18,000

The Opportunity

Recruit ABA is representing an established, clinician-founded ABA provider with more than 25 years of experience delivering high-quality services to children and families.

This is a fully center-based position serving primarily children from birth through age 10. The organization offers a manageable caseload, competitive billable expectations, dedicated administrative support, and a well-developed RBT training model that allows BCBAs to remain focused on clinical care.

The clinical philosophy is compassionate, progressive, and learner-centered.

Clinicians are encouraged to adjust the environment and teaching approach to create the conditions in which each learner can succeed.

Clinical Model

  • Fully center-based ABA services
  • Typical caseload of approximately 5–7 clients
  • Billable expectation of no more than approximately 25 hours per week
  • No routine home-based caseload
  • Primarily serving children from birth through age 10
  • Monday–Friday schedule
  • Centers operate between approximately 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible schedule)
  • CentralReach used for data collection and clinical documentation

BCBAs may occasionally participate in IEP meetings, school-transition meetings, or other outside collaboration when clinically appropriate.

Center Environment

Centers are designed to support individualized treatment, skill development, movement, and social interaction. The environment includes:

  • Individual treatment and learning spaces
  • Play and social-development areas
  • Sensory and gross-motor spaces
  • Swings, mats, and movement-based equipment
  • Multiple environments aligned with each child’s goals

Dedicated Support

Each center has a dedicated Center Administrator who supports nonclinical operations, including scheduling, attendance concerns, administrative communication, and other day-to-day center needs.

Centers also have a designated Clinical Trainer who supports:

  • New RBT onboarding
  • Hands-on technician training
  • Competency development
  • Ongoing skills training
  • RBT test preparation

The organization provides approximately 80 hours of standardized RBT preparation and offers a defined RBT career ladder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and update individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments and analyze clinical data
  • Provide supervision and ongoing development for RBTs
  • Deliver caregiver training and support
  • Monitor treatment integrity and clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with families, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary partners
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Ensure services meet ethical, regulatory, and quality standards

Compensation and Incentives

  • Base salary of $95,000–$105,000
  • $10,000 sign-on bonus paid on the paycheck following the 60th day of employment
  • Performance-bonus opportunity of up to $18,000 annually
  • Performance incentives are calculated monthly and paid quarterly
  • Separate $40,000 long-term retention program

Retention Payments

  • Year 2: $6,000
  • Year 3: $9,600
  • Year 4: $12,200
  • Year 5: $12,200

Potential first-year cash compensation may reach approximately $123,000–$133,000, including base salary, sign-on bonus, and the maximum performance incentive.

Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Maryland licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
