Full time @recruitaba in Healthcare

Job Description

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Northwest Chicago Suburbs, IL | Hybrid
Up to 105K Total Compensation

A Different Kind of BCBA Opportunity

Recruit ABA is partnering with a therapist-owned pediatric therapy organization in NW Chicago Suburbs area with an ABA program built around a simple idea: BCBAs should have the time, support, and clinical freedom to provide excellent care without burning themselves out.

This is a smaller, highly collaborative program offering approximately 5 clients per BCBA, a 25-hour weekly billable expectation, hybrid flexibility, strong administrative support, and a genuinely multidisciplinary clinical environment.

If you’re looking to get away from high-volume ABA while continuing to grow clinically, this opportunity deserves a look.

What Stands Out

  • up to 105K total comp
  • Approximately 5 clients per BCBA
  • 25 billable hours per week
  • Up to 2 work-from-home days per week
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No required weekends
  • Child-led, assent-based clinical philosophy
  • Multidisciplinary pediatric environment
  • Dedicated ABA scheduling and administrative support
  • Team-based coverage model
  • Mentorship for newer BCBAs
  • Semiannual incentive opportunities
  • Additional PTO opportunity for exceeding productivity expectations
  • Career advancement opportunities

Clinical Model

This program takes a compassionate, child-led and assent-based approach to ABA.

Its clinical philosophy incorporates DIR/Floortime and relationship-based principles, emphasizing client choice, meaningful engagement and individualized treatment rather than a rigid, compliance-driven approach.

The program primarily serves children ages 2–7 and also includes a specialized preschool-readiness model designed to help children build the skills necessary to transition successfully into a school environment.

Truly Multidisciplinary

BCBAs work alongside professionals from:

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech-Language Pathology
  • Physical Therapy
  • Mental Health

These disciplines share a clinical environment, allowing for meaningful collaboration rather than simply operating separate services under the same roof.

For BCBAs who enjoy looking at the whole child and learning from other pediatric disciplines, this is a significant part of the opportunity.

Caseload & Productivity

The organization is intentionally maintaining a smaller ABA program rather than pursuing rapid growth at the expense of its clinicians.

BCBAs typically manage approximately five children with a minimum expectation of 25 billable hours per week.

Clinicians who exceed their billable target can earn additional PTO, with up to 2.5 additional PTO hours available based on productivity.

Additional semiannual incentive opportunities are also available based on cumulative billable performance.

Hybrid Flexibility

This is a hybrid position — not a fully remote BCBA role.

Depending on clinical responsibilities and team coverage, BCBAs may have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week.

Appropriate remote responsibilities can include:

  • Assessments
  • Parent training
  • Remote supervision
  • Continuing education
  • Other indirect clinical responsibilities

A Team Built to Cover Each Other

The ABA program utilizes a unique sister-team model.

BCBAs and RBTs are cross-trained across partnering caseloads so clinicians aren’t left scrambling when someone is sick, taking PTO or otherwise unavailable.

There is also dedicated ABA administrative support responsible for areas including:

  • Scheduling
  • Call-outs
  • Scheduling communication with families
  • Authorization coordination

Those responsibilities are intentionally kept from becoming another administrative burden for the BCBA.

Mentorship & Career Growth

This opportunity can work for both experienced BCBAs and newer clinicians who want strong mentorship.

Clinical leadership provides direct mentorship and support, and BCBAs have an established advancement path through multiple clinician levels.

Longer-term opportunities can include advancement into roles such as:

  • BCBA Lead
  • Department leadership

 Benefits

  • Semiannual incentive opportunities
  • Additional PTO incentive for exceeding billables
  • 15 days PTO
  • Health insurance
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Short-term disability
  • Life insurance
  • SIMPLE IRA with 3% match
  • Paid CEU opportunities
  • Paid professional development
  • Career advancement opportunities
