Lead Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Shelton / Southbury, CT | up to $103K Comp
Recruit ABA is partnering with an established, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy organization in Connecticut to hire an experienced Lead BCBA.
This position is designed for a BCBA who enjoys clinical work but is ready to take on greater responsibility for staff development, mentorship, performance management, and clinical quality without moving completely away from clients.
The Lead maintains a smaller caseload of approximately 4–5 clients and reduced billable expectation, allowing dedicated time for leadership responsibilities.

What You’ll Do
The Lead BCBA combines clinical responsibilities with leadership of the organization’s BT/RBT team.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a smaller clinical caseload
- Train and support newly hired BTs and RBTs
- Complete and oversee RBT competencies
- Conduct ongoing performance checks and IOAs
- Provide coaching and feedback to technicians
- Conduct 90-day check-ins and annual performance reviews
- Support interviewing and hiring of BTs/RBTs
- Partner with BCBAs on technician performance and development
- Facilitate team meetings
- Ensure BACB supervision requirements are maintained
- Collaborate closely with ABA department leadership
- Provide clinical services and leadership across two nearby clinic locations
What We’re Looking For
- Active BCBA certification
- Connecticut LBA or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related field
- Approximately 3+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Previous BT/RBT supervision experience
- Experience coaching and developing clinical staff
- Comfortable providing constructive feedback and navigating performance conversations
- 8-hour BACB supervision training
- Strong communication, organization and leadership skills
- Collaborative, approachable leadership style
Experience interviewing, hiring and training BTs/RBTs is a plus.
Clinical Environment
The organization provides individualized ABA with an emphasis on play-based therapy and naturalistic teaching strategies. BCBAs work alongside other pediatric professionals in a multidisciplinary environment that includes speech, occupational and physical therapy.
